The Marketing Generalist is responsible for promotion marketing, relationship marketing, viral marketing and content marketing for OSC. This position will oversee all marketing efforts at all locations and assist with developing and then executing the strategic marketing plan. They will serve as our social media champion, developing and posting engaging, relevant, interactive and strategic content on multiple media sources. This position will be responsible for the creation of all marketing materials, maintaining a consistent brand across the company and all departments. They will work closely with the Sales and Operation Departments to administer these marketing communications both internally and externally. This position works collaboratively with upper and mid-level management on all projects as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate and cultivate the Core Values of OSC – both internally and externally
- Attend and participate in biweekly L-10 meetings
- Optimize automation marketing to generate traffic, convert visitors to leads, and nurture converted customers through appropriate communication channels
- Establish and use analytics to understand the success of our marketing activities with customers and potential customers
- Build and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, to include Facebook, LinkedIn, X(Twitter), Instagram and additional channels that may be relevant
- Design and manage the company website and content within the site
- Create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to spread both our brand and our content, both imagery & video content.
- Maintain OSC’s brand and visual identity consistently across all areas and key materials
- Determine and complete the graphic and printing requirements of the departments, interpreting and applying brand standards consistently to all materials produced
- Manage a library of company images for internal and external use
- Support Sales Management with the rollout of brand strategies, tools, and initiatives on a company-wide level and with other special brand projects as assigned
- Conduct marketing research to prospective audiences and create content that will attract and interest them
- Manage and complete long term design projects
- Develop communication tools under the direction of Sales and Marketing Management
Other Responsibilities:
- Assist with ESOP committee & related events
- Perform a variety of special projects as assigned by supervisor
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations preferred
- 2+ years of experience in marketing or communications role is desired
- Self-motivated, versatile, and ability to work independently
- Creative design skills, staying up to date with marketing & social media trends
- Comfortable with Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), Canva or other desktop publishing tools and graphic applications
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ERP Software
- SEO experience preferred
- Good understanding of all social media platforms
- Video creation & editing skills
- Must be organized, have high attention to detail, time management skills and operate on a flexible schedule
- Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with the ability to use data to inform all decisions
Equipment Used:
Company provided equipment such as telephones and computer/laptop, 35mm digital camera, lapel microphones. Office equipment and computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, ERP Software, and applicable marketing software. Safety gear such as safety glasses and safety shoes when required.
Job Specifications/Requirements:
Ability to sit for long periods of time, 6 – 7 hours per day. Occasional lifting of 20lbs is required, may at times lift up to 50lbs. Reach at, above and below shoulder level occasionally. Continuous fine manipulation, including grasping and handling. Frequently twist head/neck, talk and hear. Occasional walking, twisting, bending. Travel as necessary to various company locations, customer/vendor sites, training and seminars. Ability to work in moderately warm or cold conditions where high noise levels are possible.

The range for for this position is $49,799 annually - $74,698 annually. Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience and internal equity.
